MBAM 605 - Accounting Analysis
Financial accounting data analysis to reflect financial position, operating results, and resource flows. Emphasis upon acceptable alternatives yielding substantive differences. Internal accounting data analysis for short and long-term performance evaluation and profit planning. Emphasis upon cost behavior and profit centres.
MBAM 606 - Managerial Finance
The role and responsibilities of today’s financial manager with special emphasis on advanced tools and techniques for solving complex financial problems. Topics of special interest in budgeting, funds analysis and allocation will be discussed. Models for financial decision making under conditions of uncertainty will be formulated.
MBAM 607 - Applied Research Project
All students will be required to participate in research/consulting project on some real corporate-based or business-unit based problem given prior approval of the topic and methodology. Emphasis will be placed on providing real solutions to real business problems in a consulting context.
MBAM 609 - Seminar: Domestic Business Environment
Governmental regulatory environment of business and commerce including analysis of statutes, court decisions, and rulings affecting policy decisions. Topics include administrative process, laws affecting securities markets, Antitrust Act, laws affecting trade, foreign direct investment and foreign exchange, independent regulatory agencies, consumer protection, intellectual property rights, union management relations, occupational injuries, employment discrimination, social and ethical problems, and responsibility in business.

MBAM 612 - Seminar: International Business
This course looks at the special aspects of doing business in an increasingly globalized economic context. Concerns with both political and currency risk will be addressed. Also, the effects of managing and transacting in a cross-cultural, cross-border business environment will be considered including the effects of differing regulatory regimes and schemes on the way business is conducted. The seminar will deal with the operational problems of business undertakings (production and marketing) in nationstates abroad in addition to the institutional issues related to organizational conduct and behavior.
